Dropbox
Dropbox is an online file storage and sharing platform. It allows you to keep your files online and syncs to your desktop. That means that if you work on a file in your office and then go home, the latest version will be there waiting for you when you get in. It also allows backup and versioning of your files so that if you accidentally delete your file or make unwanted changes you can roll these back to a previous version.
It allows you to share files with others, even if they don't have a dropbox account, either individually using their email address or publically so you can place large files online.
These can be very useful tools when collaborating or just managing your day to day research documentation.
